Engineer *Entry Level*

Job Purpose:

Performs engineering duties in planning & design. Expected to perform analysis for in-house projects.

Main Duties/responsibilities:

Position has responsibility to research & analyze customer design proposals, specifications, manuals

& other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost & maintenance requirements of designs or applications.

Develop and test models of alternate designs & processing methods to assess feasibility, operating condition effects, possible new applications & necessity of modification.

System or Equipment used:

Proficient at AutoCAD Inventor when performing mechanical design functions. Proficient computer skills to include Microsoft Office Suite. Background screening includes previous employment, education, criminal history & driving record verification.

Communication:

Must have an excellent command of both the verbal & oral English language. Expected to; correlate data & generate reports, prepare acceptance test procedures, prepare design review packages & presentations. Expected to verbally present & participate in staff & customer meetings.

Physical demands of the job:

While performing duties of this job, one will be required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands & arms, climb or balance, stoop or kneel, talk & hear, use fingers & hands to feel objects, tools or controls. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, depth perceptions & the ability to adjust focus. Overtime may be necessary as work load dictate. This may include weekdays, weekends and/or holidays. Occasion travel will be required.

Knowledge, Training, and Experience required:

This is an interdisciplinary position. Professional knowledge & an engineering degree in one or more of the following disciplines: Mechanical, Civil, or Electrical Engineering. In addition to the professional knowledge in one discipline, broad knowledge of the other discipline is desired. 4-year
Engineering or Engineering Technology degrees from an accredited college or university recognized by the Department of Education are acceptable to meet these education requirements. This position requires the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures & equipment to the design & production of mobile instrumentation shelters, vans & trailers. Knowledge of design techniques, tools & principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings & models.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
