We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our team. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for engineering, designing, and specifying HVAC, plumbing, and utility systems in a design-build setting with highly variable projects.
Responsibilities:

Engineer and design HVAC, plumbing, and utility systems for various projects, ensuring compliance with local building codes and industry standards.

Prepare detailed engineering calculations, specifications, drawings and other construction documents for the installation of mechanical systems.

Collaborate with project managers, architects and other engineering disciplines to develop project designs and optimize system performance.

Conduct detailed site surveys to assess existing conditions and identify potential challenges related to mechanical system installations.

Review and approve shop drawings and submittals for mechanical systems to ensure adherence to design specifications and project requirements.

Provide technical guidance and support to project teams during estimating, construction, installation, start-up and commissioning phases.

Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to select appropriate equipment and materials for projects, considering cost, quality, and compatibility.

Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements, incorporating new technologies and best practices into mechanical system designs.

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.

Five (5) or more years experience in engineering and designing HVAC, plumbing, and utility systems in a design-build setting.

Proficiency in design software; Auto Cad, Revit, HAP (or similar), etc.

Strong knowledge of building codes, regulations, and industry standards related to mechanical, plumbing and utility systems.

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Detail-oriented approach, with a focus on accuracy and precision in design and documentation.
