Key responsibilities

• Preform all duties required for the mechanical design of a project including but not limited to: Load calculations, outside air calculation, ductwork design, specifying equipment, drafting, reviewing drawings, energy calculations and quality control review changes.
• Respond to RFIs, permit comments, submittals in a timely manner
• Communicate with manufacture representatives and architects
• Willingness to mentor and teach younger mechanical team members.
• Design and model/draft mechanical systems from concept through completion.

Qualifications

• BSME or 3+ years of experience in Mechanical Engineering design for MEP systems
• Proficiency in Revit; AutoCAD experience preferred
• Familiar with building and energy codes
• Working knowledge of construction documents, specifications, and submittal reviews
• Background in multifamily, ALFs, student housing, hotels, or commercial projects
• Capable of reading and interpreting 2D/3D drawings
• Knowledge of building construction and how architectural and structural systems integrate with MEP
• Field experience or construction support preferred
• Able to effectively communicate in English both verbally and written instruction
