We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Engineer with strong expertise in Diesel Generators, troubleshooting, overhauling, and maintenance activities. The ideal candidate should be technically strong, capable of handling site operations independently, and available in Qatar for immediate joining.

Experience Required:

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in diesel generator maintenance, overhauling, troubleshooting, and testing.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform complete overhauling, preventive maintenance, and corrective maintenance of diesel generators.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults in DG sets.
• Handle engine dismantling, assembly, calibration, and testing activities.
• Carry out load testing, synchronization, and commissioning of generators.
• Inspect and maintain cooling systems, fuel systems, lubrication systems, and exhaust systems.
• Coordinate with site teams and clients for maintenance schedules and breakdown support.
• Prepare technical reports, service reports, and maintenance documentation.
• Ensure proper operation of AMF/ATS panels and related generator control systems.
• Monitor generator performance and recommend corrective actions to improve reliability.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and company procedures during maintenance activities.
• Attend emergency breakdowns and provide technical support when required.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with diesel generators and associated systems.
• Strong knowledge of major generator brands such as Cummins, Perkins, Caterpillar, MTU, Volvo, FG Wilson, or equivalent.
• Experience in engine overhauling, troubleshooting, and commissioning activities.
• Knowledge of synchronization systems, AMF/ATS operations, and load bank testing is preferred.
• Ability to read technical drawings, manuals, and electrical/mechanical schematics.
• Good communication and reporting skills.
• Valid Qatar Driving License is an added advantage.
• Candidates currently available in Qatar are preferred.
