We’re a leading manufacturer for the Gasification Industry, and we’re seeking a Mechanical Engineer to assist in current and upcoming projects with the manufacturing of critical temperature measurement instrumentation. This role is a hand-on position, that will expose you to design, manufacturing, implementation and customer relations.

As a Mechanical Engineer at SynTemp, you will:
- Design & Innovate: Develop critical parts and systems for high-temperature, high-performance applications.
- CAD Mastery: Create, revise, and optimize designs using SolidWorks.
- Hands-On Work: Engage with CNC machines, laser machines, pressure testing tools, and other advanced equipment.
- Troubleshoot & Solve Problems: Work with instrumentation, electrical components, and control devices.
- Collaborate: Partner with customers to evaluate and implement temperature measurement solutions.
- Field Work: Visit customer sites (chemical plants) to install, test, and validate systems.
- Test & Refine: Use testing instruments (voltmeters, calipers, etc.) to ensure precision and quality.
- Contribute to R&D: Assist in developing the next generation of high-temperature measuring systems.
We want a candidate who is:
- Problem Solvers: Analytical thinkers who embrace challenges and develop innovative solutions.
- Proficient in reviewing and understanding technical drawings
- SolidWorks Experienced/Proficient
- Experience with Instrumentation and control devices - Ideally temperature measurement devices
- Experience with testing tools such as voltmeters and calipers
- Collaborative Communicators: Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Safety-Minded: Committed to maintaining safety standards and protocols.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Prior Manufacturing experience (3+ Years)
- Prior Design experience
- Proficient in SolidWorks
- Competent with electrical components/power
- CNC programming (preferred)
- Laser machines or 3D printers (a plus)
- Knowledge of Linux and computer configuration settings is a bonus.
- Basic tools like drills, wire strippers, and crimpers
- Ability to pass a background check and drug testing.
- Must adhere to our Smoke-Free Facility Policy.
