Mechanical Engineer (Fire Fighting Installation)

We are seeking a qualified Mechanical Engineer with hands-on experience in firefighting system installation. The candidate will be responsible for planning, supervising, and executing installation works in accordance with approved drawings, project specifications, and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and execute installation of fire fighting systems, including:
• Fire pumps, sprinkler systems, hydrant networks, hose reels, and associated piping
• Review mechanical drawings, shop drawings, and technical submittals
• Ensure all installation activities comply with project specifications and applicable codes
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and other disciplines (MEP, civil, electrical)
• Plan site activities, manpower, and material requirements
• Verify materials and equipment delivered to site are approved and meet project standards
• Conduct site inspections and raise Inspection Requests (IRs)
• Monitor work progress and ensure adherence to project schedules
• Identify and resolve technical and site-related issues
• Ensure compliance with HSE policies and safe working practices
• Maintain documentation including daily reports, progress updates, and material logs

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 5–6 years of experience in fire fighting system installation
• Strong knowledge of fire protection systems and piping works
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
• Experience in UAE/GCC construction projects
• Familiarity with Civil Defense regulations and approval processes
• Knowledge of international standards (NFPA, FM, etc.)
• Valid UAE driving license
