Mechanical Engineer (Maintenance)

Experience

3–5 years of factory maintenance experience
(Experience in pellet plant / biomass / power / cement / heavy engineering industries preferred)

Role Overview

The Mechanical Engineer – Maintenance will be responsible for ensuring high equipment availability by effectively managing mechanical breakdowns, minimizing downtime, and maintaining all mechanical equipment in the plant. This is a hands-on role focused on preventive maintenance and quick resolution of mechanical issues.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond immediately to machine breakdowns and ensure minimum downtime
• Conduct root cause analysis of recurring breakdowns and implement corrective actions
• Plan and execute preventive and predictive maintenance activities
• Maintain critical equipment including hammer mill, pellet mill, conveyors, gearboxes, bearings, and motors
• Coordinate with production and shift teams during breakdown situations
• Plan, manage, and monitor spares, consumables, and critical inventory
• Maintain breakdown logs, maintenance records, and reports
• Ensure proper lubrication schedules and overall mechanical health of machines
• Implement improvements to reduce frequent failures and unplanned stoppages
• Ensure strict adherence to safety practices during maintenance activities

Skills & Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience in mechanical maintenance
• Proven expertise in breakdown handling and plant troubleshooting
• Ability to work under pressure and during odd hours, if required
• Good understanding of rotating equipment and material handling systems
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

General Manager / Plant Head

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
