The Mechanical Engineer (Plumbing) will be responsible for the design, coordination, execution, and supervision of plumbing systems in MEP projects. The role requires strong technical knowledge, site coordination, and compliance with local authority regulations. Design and review plumbing systems including water supply, drainage, stormwater, and sewage systems.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare shop drawings, as-built drawings, and material submittals
- Ensure compliance with project specifications and local authority standards (e.g., municipality, DEWA where applicable)
- Coordinate with other disciplines (electrical, HVAC, civil, architectural)
- Supervise installation works on-site and ensure quality standards are maintained
- Conduct inspections, testing, and commissioning of plumbing systems
- Monitor project progress and report any issues or delays
- Support quantity take-offs and cost estimation
- Ensure adherence to safety regulations and company policies
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 3–6 years of experience in MEP contracting (UAE/GCC experience preferred)
- Strong knowledge of plumbing systems and relevant codes
- Experience with authority approvals and documentation
- Proficiency in AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit/BIM is an advantage
- Good communication and coordination skills
