Your Responsibilities
- Structural design and development of tower crane components and assemblies, ensuring compliance with defined static conditions, load cases, and international design standards (EN, ISO, FEM).
- Creation of 3D CAD models, production drawings, and bills of materials to support manufacturing and assembly.
- Maintenance and management of technical master data in PDM, ERP, and related systems.
- Support for serial production, including design optimization, cost reduction, and coordination with manufacturing, quality, and service departments.
- Contribution to R&D and continuous improvement projects focusing on crane performance, safety, and manufacturability.
Your Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (B.Eng.), with a focus on steel structures, machine design, or mechanical construction.
- 4–5 years of experience in design and development of tower cranes, lifting equipment, or heavy mechanical/steel structures — experience in the crane or heavy-equipment industry is a must.
- Strong proficiency in 3D CAD (preferably Solid Edge), PDM (Teamcenter), ERP (SAP), and MS Office.
- In-depth understanding of welded steel design, manufacturing methods, and fatigue/stress analysis principles.
- Excellent written and spoken English; German language skills are an advantage.
