Mechanical Engineer- Site

Job Title: Mechanical Engineer 

Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE

Job Type: Full-time

We are looking for Mechanical Engineers experienced in Site supervision to join one of our Supervision projects in Abu Dhabi UAE.

• Candidate must have experience working in Engineering Consultancy within UAE.

Responsibilities:

• Monitoring the Mechanical scope of works for conformance with the provisions of the contract documents and the procedures manual.
• Reviewing, approving and processing all Mechanical technical submittals.
• Review and verify shop drawings, materials, and method statements submitted by the contractor.
• Answering RFI’s related to Mechanical.
• Supervise and inspect mechanical installation works (HVAC, plumbing, drainage, firefighting, etc.) at site.
• Monitor site progress, conduct regular inspections, and prepare daily/weekly reports.
• Reviewing contractor’s Mechanical change order proposals and preparing recommendations.
• Reviewing contractors claims related to Mechanical works and preparing recommendations for claims.
• Attend site meetings and provide technical guidance to contractors when needed.
• Managing the Mechanical inspectors.
• Assisting with the inspection of completed works and monitoring the start-up, testing, commissioning and handover of the Mechanical works.

Qualification:

• Minimum Bachelor’s /Master’s degree in relevant disciplines: Mechanical Engineering.
• Solid design knowledge with the ability to review and interpret design drawings and calculations
• Excellent knowledge of Mechanical systems, products and materials.
• Excellent knowledge of applicable Mechanical design and construction codes.
• Excellent understanding of specifications and Authority requirements.
