About the Role

We are a reputable EPC contractor seeking a Mechanical Engineer with strong experience in steel structures and erection works for an upcoming international project based in Hargeisa, Somaliland. This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive engineer ready to take on-site challenges and contribute to high-impact infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage steel structure fabrication and erection on-site.
• Oversee MEP works and ensure alignment with project timelines and specifications.
• Review shop drawings, structural plans, and ensure compliance with engineering standards.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, fabricators, and suppliers to ensure smooth execution.
• Conduct quality checks, alignment inspections, and assist in the commissioning process.
• Prepare daily site reports and communicate project progress to the Project Manager.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in the UAE, specifically in steel structure fabrication and erection.
• Strong knowledge of UAE construction codes and steel erection safety standards.
• Hands-on experience managing MEP systems in conjunction with structural works.
• Willing to work and stay full-time at the project site in Hargeisa, Somaliland.
• Excellent team coordination, site management, and problem-solving skills.
• Valid passport and immediate readiness to travel.
