We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer with strong experience in the automotive industry to manage vehicle diagnostics, maintenance planning, workshop coordination, and technical evaluations. The ideal candidate must be well-versed in UAE automotive standards, fleet management, and workshop operations.

Key ResponsibilitiesVehicle Diagnostics & Technical Expertise

  • Perform mechanical inspections, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis for light and heavy vehicles.
  • Diagnose issues related to engines, transmission, suspension, electrical systems, and drivetrains.
  • Recommend repair solutions and ensure accurate technical assessments.

Maintenance & Workshop Coordination

  • Develop preventive and corrective maintenance schedules for company vehicles.
  • Coordinate with workshop teams to ensure efficient repairs and timely task execution.
  • Review job cards, repair reports, and maintenance records for accuracy.

Fleet & Operations Support

  • Monitor fleet performance, breakdown frequency, and recurring mechanical issues.
  • Ensure all vehicles comply with RTA regulations, vehicle fitness tests, and UAE roadworthiness standards.
  • Evaluate external workshops, suppliers, and spare parts vendors for quality and reliability.

Quality Control & Safety

  • Inspect completed work and ensure repairs meet safety and manufacturer standards.
  • Implement workshop safety procedures and ensure compliance with UAE HSE guidelines.
  • Maintain warranty documentation, service reports, and technical logs.

Technical Documentation & Reporting

  • Prepare technical reports on mechanical failures, maintenance costs, and fleet performance.
  • Maintain a central record of service schedules, vehicle history, and repair documentation.
  • Support audit requirements and ensure documentation aligns with company and UAE regulatory standards.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (mandatory).
  • 3–5 years of UAE experience working in the automobile industry (required).
  • Strong knowledge of vehicle systems, diagnostics, and workshop practices.
  • Experience working with light and/or heavy vehicles, depending on company fleet.
  • Familiarity with UAE automotive regulations & RTA requirements.

Skills & Competencies

  • Proficiency in automotive diagnostic tools & software (OBD, scanning tools, technical platforms).
  • Strong technical and analytical skills to diagnose mechanical issues accurately.
  • Knowledge of spare parts, mechanical components, and vendor evaluation.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills with workshop and operations teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet repair deadlines.
  • Strong documentation and reporting capabilities.
  • Understanding of HSE standards, workshop safety, and risk prevention.

Preferred Certifications (Advantage)

  • UAE Society of Engineers Membership
  • RTA Licensing Knowledge / Workshop Approvals
  • IOSH / NEBOSH (for safety compliance)
  • Certifications in automotive systems (Toyota, Nissan, Mercedes, etc. — optional but preferred)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED7,000.00 - AED10,000.00 per month

Experience:

  • UAE Automobile Mechanical Engineer: 3 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:

  • Certifications in automotive systems (Preferred)
