2. Analysis and Calculations
- Perform engineering calculations for stress, strain, heat transfer, fluid dynamics, and other mechanical properties.
- Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses for new projects.
- Use tools like FEA (Finite Element Analysis) or CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) to analyze designs.
3. Manufacturing and Production Support
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are practical and cost-effective to produce.
- Develop and improve manufacturing processes for better efficiency and quality.
- Select appropriate materials and manufacturing methods.
4. Testing and Quality Assurance
- Plan and conduct performance, durability, and safety tests on mechanical systems.
- Analyze test data and prepare reports with improvement recommendations.
- Ensure designs and products meet quality and regulatory standards (e.g., ISO, ASME, API).
5. Project Management
- Prepare project timelines, budgets, and technical documentation.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams (electrical, civil, software, etc.) to deliver projects on schedule.
- Manage suppliers and contractors during project execution.
6. Maintenance and Troubleshooting
- Diagnose mechanical failures and implement corrective actions.
- Develop maintenance procedures and preventive maintenance plans.
- Provide technical support for installation, commissioning, and operation of equipment.
7. Documentation and Reporting
- Prepare detailed engineering drawings, technical manuals, and specifications.
- Document design changes, test results, and project progress.
- Present technical reports and findings to management or clients.
8. Research and Innovation
- Investigate new technologies, materials, and manufacturing methods.
