Mechanical Engineer with Consultants/Construction Experience

Job Description for Mechanical Engineer:

• Implement the site supervision quality procedures, and review submission requirements of the project, along with the MEP contractor
• Review all construction documents and highlight any design and contractual discrepancies with the concerned PM/RE.
• Ensure that all statutory authority NOC’s / permits / design approvals are available on site for construction
• Ensure that the main contractor and nominated MEP contractor coordinate with all concerned authorities’ departments and ensure that their requirements are adequately and satisfactorily incorporated
• Extend the maximum possible effort to avoid contractor(s) claims for cost and/or delay
• Review and forward any comments on all submittals including contractor design drawings, shop drawings, materials and alternative proposals submitted by contractors.
• Provide technical guidance and recommendations to optimize Mechanical designs for efficiency, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Oversee the planning, scheduling, and execution of all Mechanical-related activities on-site.
• Ensure that Mechanical installations are carried out according to the project timeline.
• Implement and maintain strict quality control procedures to ensure that all Mechanical installations meet the highest standards.
• Ensure that all Mechanical systems are tested and commissioned according to industry standards and project requirements.
• Manage contract variations and change orders, ensuring that any changes to the Mechanical scope are documented and approved by the developer.
• Handle any disputes or claims related to Mechanical installations, working to resolve issues efficiently.

Educational Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Experience Requirements:

• 7 to 10 years of experience in MEP management.
• Proven experience in managing large-scale Mechanical installations, with a focus on delivering high-quality, efficient, and sustainable systems.
• Experience working in Dubai, with a thorough understanding of local regulations, building codes, and industry practices.
