MECHANICAL ENGINEERING MANAGER

Position Overview:

A Growing Engineering and Manufacturing organization is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Manager to lead the design and execution of custom and standardized industrial enclosures and integrated mechanical systems. This is a hands‑on leadership role serving as the technical authority across projects supporting mission‑critical and industrial applications.

The Mechanical Engineering Manager will partner closely with Electrical Engineering, Project Management, Manufacturing, Sales, and Quality teams to ensure high‑quality, compliant, and efficient product delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead mechanical design of industrial control panel enclosures, cabinets, skids, and integrated mechanical assemblies
  • Oversee design of custom generator enclosures and integrated power distribution systems
  • Maintain, improve, and enforce internal engineering standards and best practices
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with Project Managers, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing, and Sales to deliver projects on time and within scope
  • Lead structural and HVAC system integration to ensure durability, safety, and thermal performance
  • Specify materials and components considering geographic, environmental, and application requirements
  • Produce detailed design packages including drawings, bills of materials, and technical documentation
  • Ensure designs meet UL requirements, regulatory standards, and internal quality expectations
  • Serve as a primary technical interface with clients throughout the project lifecycle
  • Drive engineering schedules and coordinate cross‑functional teams to meet milestones
  • Mentor and develop junior engineers and designers through reviews and technical guidance
  • Identify opportunities for standardization, manufacturability, and design efficiency improvements
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across engineering and production

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • 8+ years of mechanical engineering experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience supporting mission‑critical custom enclosures or similar engineered products
  • Strong background in mechanical design for commercial or industrial construction applications
  • Proficiency in Revit and 3D AutoCAD
  • Proven ability to manage complex engineering projects
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills
  • Ability to work on‑site (no remote option)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • Experience with generator enclosures, industrial control panels, or power distribution systems
  • Background in electrical equipment, fabricated metal products, heavy machinery, oil & gas, or similar industries

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Based Salary US$130,000-US$180,000
  • Annual bonus potential
