Role Overview

We are seeking a technically strong and solution‑oriented Mechanical Engineer to support EPC execution of onshore and offshore Oil & Gas projects. The role involves providing engineering and site support across mechanical disciplines, ensuring construction is executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project specifications and QatarEnergy standards.

This position is ideal for professionals who combine engineering expertise with strong site coordination and problem‑solving capabilities in a fast‑paced EPC environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support for mechanical construction activities including static and rotating equipment, piping interfaces, valves, tanks, and packages
• Review and interpret IFC drawings, specifications, data sheets, and method statements to support construction and installation activities
• Coordinate closely with construction, QA/QC, planning, and material control teams to resolve engineering and site queries
• Support installation, alignment, erection, and testing of mechanical equipment in accordance with project requirements
• Review technical queries (TQs), material submittals, and method statements in coordination with the engineering team
• Assist in mechanical completion, system completion, punch listing, and handover documentation
• Support pre‑commissioning and commissioning activities including flushing, testing, and equipment start‑up readiness
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and QatarEnergy requirements
• Promote continuous improvement, constructability optimization, and effective interface management

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 8–12 years experience in mechanical engineering within Oil & Gas EPC projects
• Experience working on QatarEnergy / QP projects is highly preferred
• Strong knowledge of ASME, API, ANSI, and client‑specific specifications
• Hands‑on experience with rotating equipment, static equipment, piping systems, and mechanical packages
• Ability to review drawings, P&IDs, layouts, and technical documentation
• Strong coordination, analytical, and communication skills

Added Value (Preferred)

• Experience in brownfield or live plant environments
• Exposure to construction support, field engineering, and EPC interface management
• Familiarity with mechanical completion systems and turnover processes
• HSE certifications (NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent)
