Triumph Engineering & Design, Inc. (TED) is currently searching for a talented Mechanical (HVAC) / Plumbing Designer in the State of Michigan. The job opening is a full time, permanent position at our office located in Grand Blanc, MI.

POSITION DESCRIPTION: MECHANICAL (HVAC) / PLUMBING DESIGNER
With limited supervision, provide the technical, organizational and communication skills to produce well-designed and coordinated construction documents for HVAC and plumbing systems.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design HVAC and plumbing systems for multi-family residential facilities and commercial buildings including hotels, shopping plazas, restaurants and warehouses.
• Layout and size ductwork and piping.
• Load calculations.
• Prepare construction documents - drawings, specifications, calculations, and other specific details related to the project.
• Communicate and meet with clients.
• Coordinate with other necessary design disciplines.
• Approval of mechanical submittals related to client construction administration.
• Job site visits when necessary.
• Familiarity with Michigan building codes.

Other requirements for the position include:

• Associate degree in related field preferred
• Applicable work experience
• Computer-aided drafting experience
• Candidate must have excellent oral and written communication skills
• AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, Revit (a plus), Trane or other similar software
