We are currently looking for a Mechanical Inspector with strong site-based experience to oversee the quality and compliance of mechanical works on a prestigious building project in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate must be well-versed in mechanical systems, inspections, testing procedures, and local authority standards.

Key Responsibilities:

· Inspect mechanical installations (HVAC, plumbing, drainage, fire protection, etc.) to ensure compliance with approved shop drawings, contract documents, and relevant codes.

· Review and validate contractor inspection requests, testing procedures, and inspection reports.

· Observe construction activities and ensure works are executed in line with project specifications and industry standards.

· Coordinate with consultants and design teams to ensure smooth integration and resolution of technical issues.

· Raise Site Observation Reports (SORs) and Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) for works not adhering to the approved documentation or quality standards.

· Issue Defect Notification Reports and follow up on rectification of snags and punch list items.

· Assist in the review of IFA, IFC, and As-Built drawings, and ensure records reflect actual site conditions.

· Participate in inspections and testing during mechanical first fix, second fix, and commissioning phases.

· Verify the functionality and proper installation of components through measurements, sample data, and equipment testing.

· Record and report findings accurately, marking items for acceptance or rejection and advising on corrective measures when required.

· Ensure adherence to site safety practices, escalate concerns to Resident Engineer (RE) or HSE team.

· Clean and maintain testing tools and instruments to ensure accuracy and reliability during inspections.

· Support the preparation of project handover documentation, including O&M manuals, as-built drawings, and quality assurance records.

· Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to resolve technical issues and confirm material compliance.

Qualifications & Requirements:

· Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

· Minimum of 3–4 years of experience in mechanical inspections within MEP consultancy or construction supervision.

· In-depth knowledge of mechanical systems and local authority regulations (e.g., ADM, Civil Defense). Familiar with standards such as ASHRAE, IPC, NFPA, and project quality control procedures.

· Strong reporting, documentation, and communication skills.
