Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Inspector to join our consultant firm for the inspection of villa and building projects. The role involves ensuring that all mechanical installations are executed in accordance with approved drawings, technical specifications, local authority requirements, and project quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect mechanical works for villa and building projects, including:
• Plumbing and water supply systems
• Drainage, sewerage, and stormwater networks
• HVAC systems (as applicable)
• Pump rooms, tanks, and mechanical equipment
• Ensure mechanical installations comply with approved drawings, specifications, and applicable codes.
• Review and approve inspection requests (IRs), material submittals, and method statements.
• Conduct inspections at various construction stages and issue site observations or non-conformance reports.
• Verify testing, commissioning, and flushing results.
• Coordinate with contractors, site engineers, and other discipline inspectors.
• Monitor site works for safety, quality, and compliance.
• Prepare inspection reports and maintain accurate project records.
• Participate in final inspections and handover processes.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Relevant inspection or authority certification is an advantage.

Experience

• Minimum 7 years of UAE experience as a Mechanical Inspector.
• Proven experience in both villa and building projects is mandatory.
• Consultant firm experience is required.
• Familiarity with local authority standards and inspection procedures.

Skills and Competencies

• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems in residential and building construction.
• Ability to interpret mechanical drawings, specifications, and standards.
• Excellent inspection, coordination, and reporting skills.
• High attention to detail and quality orientation.
• Ability to manage multiple sites and priorities.

Working Conditions

• Site-based role with frequent inspections across villa and building projects.
• Exposure to active construction and outdoor environments.
