Role Overview:
The Mechanical Maintenance team will be responsible for ensuring the efficient maintenance, repair, and reliability of CNC machines and related mechanical assets. The role focuses on preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance, ensuring maximum machine uptime, safety compliance, and readiness for production schedules in a precision engineering and aerospace manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of CNC machinery including CNC/VMC, EDM Machines, Lathe, Milling Machines, and EOT Cranes, Furnaces.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical failures to minimize downtime and ensure smooth operations.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules and maintenance documentation.
  • Inspect, calibrate, and maintain machine accuracy as per OEM and process standards.
  • Coordinate with production and planning teams to ensure readiness of machines as per production priorities.
  • Maintain spare parts inventory, tools, and maintenance consumables.
  • Ensure compliance with maintenance audit requirements (Internal, External, OHSAS, EMS, ISO, Safety, etc.) and support closure of non-conformities.
  • Record and maintain machine service logs, breakdown reports, and root cause analysis (RCA) documentation.
  • Assist in installation, commissioning, and validation of new machines and equipment.
  • Implement continual improvement and energy-saving initiatives to enhance equipment performance.

Required Skills & Technical Competencies:
  • Hands-on experience with mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, lubrication, CNC servo systems, and welding basics.
  • Strong understanding of machine alignments, spindle unit maintenance, ball screw assemblies, bearings, lubrication systems, and safety systems.
  • Familiarity with TPM, RCA, 5 Why analysis, FMEA, Kaizen, and Safety Standards.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and EOT crane handling & maintenance.
  • Ability to read technical drawings, OEM manuals, and machine schematics.
