We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to manage the maintenance and repair of our vehicle fleet. The role involves coordinating with mechanics and staff, overseeing spare parts procurement, supporting fleet management software, and ensuring smooth operations through accurate record-keeping and reporting. This position is key to maintaining fleet efficiency, safety, and timely resolution of maintenance issues.
Job Responsibilities
- Follow up on all complaints reported by Preventive Care Mechanic in the group, ensuring each issue is properly acknowledged, recorded, and action is initiated without delay.
- Prepare a clear and structured summary report of complaints received, actions taken, and pending matters, and submit the same to the Managing Director on a regular basis.
- Communicate directly with drivers, operators, and other concerned staff to collect accurate information and provide timely solutions regarding reported complaints.
- Monitor and track the procurement process for required vehicle spare parts and materials, ensuring timely availability.
- Coordinate, assist, and support the implementation and smooth functioning of the Fleet X software system.
- Prepare and submit a detailed daily, covering all complaints reported in the group along with their current status and progress updates.
Required Qualifications
Diploma B.E./ B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering
Minimum 0-2 years of experience
- Good problem-solving and follow-up ability.
- Basic computer knowledge (Excel / software handling).
- Responsible, proactive, and detail-oriented.
