Job Description – Mechanical Maintenance Engineer (Greenfield Project Experience)

Position: Mechanical Maintenance Manager

Location: Pochampalli, Krishnagiri District

Department: Maintenance

Reporting to: Project Head / Plant Head

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for installation, commissioning, and maintenance of all mechanical equipment in the Greenfield project phase and later during plant operations.
• Develop and implement preventive & predictive maintenance plans to ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
• Supervise erection and commissioning activities of machinery, utilities, and support equipment.
• Coordinate with project, design, and vendor teams for smooth execution of Greenfield activities.
• Ensure availability of spares, consumables, and critical tools for uninterrupted operations.
• Troubleshoot breakdowns and provide quick, cost-effective solutions.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, maintenance reports, and compliance records.
• Ensure adherence to safety standards, statutory guidelines, and environmental norms.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives in equipment efficiency and maintenance cost optimization.
• Lead a team of technicians, provide training, and ensure skill development.

Key Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems: pumps, compressors, conveyors, gearboxes, rotating & static equipment.
• Hands-on experience in erection, installation, and commissioning of plant machinery.
• Proficiency in preventive & predictive maintenance tools (TPM, RCM, CMMS, etc.).
• Good understanding of utilities – boilers, chillers, HVAC, piping, water systems.
• Problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.
• Exposure to Greenfield/brownfield project execution.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Knowledge of safety practices, statutory compliances, and ISO standards.

Qualification & Experience

• Diploma / B.E / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
• 10–20 years of experience in Mechanical Maintenance, Greenfield Project execution.

• Strong communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in fast-paced project environments.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹80,000.00 - ₹130,000.00 per month
