Job Summary
Heat Transfer Manufacturing Company seeking a highly motivated Mechanical Piping Designer to join our dynamic engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating detailed piping layouts, PID, system designs that adhere our packaged systems and project specifications. Your expertise will help ensure the successful development of mechanical systems for diverse projects, from conceptual design through complete manufacturing and testing. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative engineering solutions while working with cutting-edge CAD tools and technical standards.

Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive piping system layouts, upgrade existing drawings and schematics using advanced CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, and SolidWorks.
  • Interpret and apply ASME codes and standards to ensure all designs meet safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate piping systems within larger plant or facility designs, ensuring system compatibility and efficiency.
  • Create detailed 3D drawings, assembly instructions, and technical documentation for fabrication and construction purposes.
  • Assist Sales with Submittal Data and Project Designs
  • Assist in the development of schematics, system design concepts, and technical reports while maintaining clear documentation for project continuity.

Experience

  • Proven experience in mechanical piping design within industrial, manufacturing, or construction environments.
  • Strong proficiency in CAD software including AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, SolidWorks, Creo, Autodesk Inventor, and Pro/ENGINEER.
  • Familiarity with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) principles for precise component specifications.
  • Knowledge of ASME codes & standards applicable to piping systems and mechanical design practices.
  • Experience with system schematics creation, mechanical drafting, assembly modeling, and technical writing.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and schematics accurately while adhering to project timelines.

Pay: $35.00 - $50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
