Location: Doha, Qatar
(Candidates must be locally available with valid QID and transferable visa / NOC)

Contract Type: Full-Time (Contract)

Role Overview

The Mechanical Piping Site Engineer will be responsible for supervising and coordinating piping construction activities at site, ensuring all works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, project schedule, and HSE requirements. The role requires strong site execution experience, coordination with multidisciplinary teams, and strict quality control in Oil & Gas environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and execute mechanical piping installation, fabrication, and erection activities on site.
  • Ensure work is carried out as per approved IFC drawings, piping isometrics, method statements, and project specifications.
  • Coordinate with construction teams, subcontractors, QA/QC, and HSE to ensure smooth workflow and compliance.
  • Monitor piping fabrication, welding, fit-up, supports installation, and alignment activities.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards (ASME, API, ANSI, ISO).
  • Liaise with QA/QC for inspections, NDT coordination, pressure testing, and punch clearance.
  • Review and manage material delivery, availability, and control as per project requirements.
  • Prepare daily progress reports and update construction status to project management.
  • Identify site issues and propose technical solutions in coordination with engineering teams.
  • Ensure strict adherence to HSE rules and participate in toolbox talks and safety meetings.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 5–7 years of experience as a Mechanical / Piping Site Engineer in Oil & Gas projects (Qatar/GCC experience preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of piping construction, fabrication, erection, and testing activities.
  • Familiar with international piping codes and standards (ASME B31.3, API, ANSI).
  • Experience working with piping isometrics, GA drawings, and MTOs.
  • Knowledge of welding procedures, WPS, PQR, and NDT requirements.
  • Valid H2S and Confined Space training preferred.
