Mechanical Project Engineer HVAC Engineer

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Execution & Supervision

• Oversee daily HVAC installation activities (ducting, piping, insulation, equipment placement).
• Ensure work is carried out as per approved drawings, BOQ, and specifications.
• Coordinate with contractors, technicians, and subcontractors on site.
• Monitor manpower, materials, and tools for smooth workflow.

2. Site Coordination

• Work closely with civil, electrical, plumbing, and architectural teams to avoid clashes.
• Attend site meetings and resolve technical issues.
• Ensure proper alignment with MEP coordination drawings.

3. Quality Control

• Inspect installation of:
• Air Handling Units (AHU)
• Fan Coil Units (FCU)
• Chillers & Condensers
• Ductwork & insulation
• Refrigerant and chilled water piping
• Ensure compliance with project standards.
• Raise inspections (IRs) and ensure consultant approvals.

4. Testing & Commissioning

• Conduct pressure testing, duct leakage testing, and flushing.
• Verify air balancing, system performance, and temperature control.
• Assist in commissioning of HVAC systems before handover.

5. Material & Documentation Management

• Review material submittals and shop drawings.
• Track material delivery and ensure approved materials are used.
• Maintain:
• Daily progress reports
• Method statements
• Inspection reports
• As-built drawings

6. Health, Safety & Compliance

• Ensure site work follows HSE regulations.
• Conduct risk assessments and toolbox talks.
• Ensure safe handling of refrigerants and heavy equipment.

7. Project Monitoring

• Track progress against project schedule.
• Report delays, technical issues, and resource needs.
• Support project manager in achieving milestones.

Technical Skills Required

• Knowledge of HVAC design principles and load concepts.
• Understanding of duct fabrication and installation standards.
• Familiarity with:
• Chilled water systems
• VRF/VRV systems
• Ventilation & exhaust systems
• Ability to read AutoCAD / MEP drawings.
• Knowledge of international codes (ASHRAE, SMACNA, DW144, etc.).

Soft Skills Needed

• Strong coordination and communication skills.
• Problem-solving ability on live construction sites.
• Time and manpower management.
• Ability to work under project deadlines.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED4,000.00 - AED5,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Fujairah: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Education:

• Diploma (Preferred)
