Mechanical QS or Engineer

Candidzone is a leading recruitment and HR solutions provider in Qatar, connecting top talent with reputable organizations across various industries. We are currently hiring a Mechanical QS or Engineer (with QS Experience) for an urgent project requirement in Lusail.

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in mechanical works combined with commercial expertise, specifically focusing on the project's closing and handover stages.

Key Responsibilities:

• Payment Verification: Verify progress payment documents and subcontractor invoices for accuracy.
• Cost Control: Conduct quantity take-offs and manage cost control for all mechanical work packages.
• Handover Documentation: Prepare and review vital handover documents, including O&M Manuals, Warranty certificates, and Spare Parts lists.
• Project Close-out: Support the final account process and ensure all commercial requirements for project completion are met.
• Data Management: Utilize Excel for complex data analysis, financial reporting, and cost tracking.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum 3+ years of experience in Mechanical Quantity Surveying or a similar role.
• Project Stage Expertise: Proven experience in progress payment verification and project handover/closing stages.
• Technical Skills: Advanced Excel skills for reporting and analysis are mandatory.
• Contractual Knowledge: Good understanding of construction documents; knowledge of FIDIC is preferred.
• Regional Experience: Prior experience on projects in the Middle East is highly preferred.
