Position: RE-MEP – Substation
Duration: 8 Months- 1 year (extendable / transferable to other projects)

Mechanical Resident Engineer – UAE

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the mechanical engineering portfolio of substation projects, ensuring adherence to technical specifications, HSE requirements, and project budget.
• Supervise the execution of mechanical works on-site, including FPS, HVAC, MEP systems, and lifting equipment, ensuring compliance with approved designs and standards.
• Monitor and report construction progress, identify and manage non-conformances, and ensure timely resolution.
• Plan, organize, and supervise all mechanical engineering and construction inspection activities.
• Ensure safety protocols are implemented and enforced in compliance with industry regulations and standards.
• Act as the key technical interface with clients, stakeholders, and contractors.
• Verify and document installed quantities, ensuring proper project closeout and handover.
• Support the commissioning and testing of mechanical systems, ensuring readiness for operation.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to resolve technical issues on-site.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree (BE) in Mechanical Engineering (mandatory).
• 10+ years of relevant mechanical engineering experience working in projects across the Middle East.
• Strong understanding of substation-related mechanical systems, including FPS, HVAC, MEP, and lifting equipment.
• Experience in site supervision, technical reporting, inspection, and project closeout.
• Knowledge of international mechanical engineering standards and regulations.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and leadership skills.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Contract length: 18 months

Pay: Up to AED15,000.00 per month
