Job Purpose
Lead and manage the mechanical supervision team for assigned projects, ensuring that all mechanical works are executed according to design, specifications, quality standards, and client requirements. The role ensures timely, cost-effective, and safe delivery of mechanical systems, while coordinating with consultants, contractors, and the project management team.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and supervise the mechanical supervision team, including site engineers and inspectors.

Review mechanical drawings, specifications, and design documents to ensure compliance with project requirements.

Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and the client on mechanical installation, testing, and commissioning.

Monitor and ensure adherence to project schedules, cost plans, and quality standards.

Review and approve contractors’ mechanical submittals, method statements, and shop drawings.

Ensure proper documentation, including inspection requests, progress reports, and commissioning records.

Conduct regular site visits to verify work quality, safety compliance, and technical accuracy.

Approve or provide recommendations for variations, change orders, and progress payments in coordination with the Project Manager.

Mentor and train mechanical supervision staff to enhance skills and maintain high professional standards.

Participate in coordination meetings with multidisciplinary teams (MEP, structural, architectural) to resolve issues.

Ensure compliance with HSE standards and project-specific safety requirements.

Support testing, commissioning, and handover of mechanical systems, ensuring all defects are addressed.
Qualifications & Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Minimum 12 years of experience, with at least 5 years in a supervision leadership role.

Experience in a construction and/or engineering consulting firm is a must.

Proven experience in supervising mechanical works in large-scale projects (residential, commercial, or hospitality).

Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and MEP coordination.

Familiarity with construction contracts, FIDIC guidelines, and mechanical codes/standards.

Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and project management tools.

Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

PMP, Professional Engineer, or other certifications are a plus.
