Job Summary
The Mechanical Site Engineer is responsible for supervising and executing mechanical works on-site in compliance with approved drawings, project specifications, and UAE standards. The role involves coordination with consultants, contractors, and other trades to ensure timely and quality project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and monitor installation of mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, and drainage.
- Ensure all mechanical works are executed as per approved drawings, method statements, and project specifications.
- Coordinate with civil, electrical, and architectural teams to avoid site conflicts.
- Conduct site inspections, material inspections, and ensure compliance with project quality requirements.
- Review shop drawings, technical submittals, and material approvals.
- Liaise with consultants, clients, and subcontractors on technical matters.
- Monitor work progress and ensure adherence to project schedules.
- Ensure compliance with UAE local authority regulations and safety standards.
- Prepare daily site reports, inspection requests (IRs), and snag lists.
- Assist in testing, commissioning, and handover of mechanical systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 5–10 years of relevant experience, with at least 2–3 years in UAE projects.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, firefighting systems, and local codes.
- Familiarity with UAE authorities (DEWA, DM, DCD, ADDC, etc.) is an advantage.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office.
- Ability to work independently on-site.
