Mechanical Site Engineer

Job Summary:
We are looking for a Site Engineer with experience in structural steel fabrication and erection. The candidate will handle site execution, coordination, and ensure work is completed as per drawings, quality, and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute steel structure erection works as per approved drawings
• Supervise installation of columns, beams, trusses, canopies, staircases, handrails, cladding
• Monitor daily site progress and ensure timely completion
• Coordinate with project team, fabrication team, and subcontractors
• Review shop drawings and ensure correct implementation
• Prepare daily and weekly progress reports
• Prepare and submit WIR (Work Inspection Request) and MIR (Material Inspection Request)
• Maintain QA/QC documents and inspection logs
• Handle NCR (Non-Conformance Report) and ensure closure
• Plan material requirements and track deliveries
• Manage manpower and site productivity
• Ensure proper use of equipment and resources
• Ensure HSE safety standards are followed on site
• Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings
• Ensure PPE compliance for all workers
• Attend meetings with clients and consultants
• Resolve site issues and coordinate with all stakeholders
• Maintain site documentation and reports
• Support billing and progress tracking if required

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil / Mechanical Engineering
• 2–5+ years experience in steel fabrication / erection
• UAE experience preferred

Skills:

• Knowledge of steel structure erection
• Experience in WIR, MIR, NCR
• Ability to read shop drawings
• Knowledge of PEB structures and cladding
• Basic knowledge of project planning (Primavera is a plus)
