Mechanical Site Engineer

DESCRIPTION:

• Supervise and witness mechanical installations such as HVAC, plumbing, fire-fighting systems, and piping works on-site.
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless workflow.
• Review mechanical drawings, plans, and technical specifications to ensure accuracy and feasibility.
• Conduct site inspections and quality checks to ensure compliance with safety regulations and project requirements & Authority Codes & Regulations.
• Understands & resolve on-site technical issues related to mechanical systems in a timely manner.
• Ensure all materials and equipment used are within specifications, of quality & fit for purpose.
• Knowledge of fundamental laws of hydraulics, pumps & fans.
• Demonstrate clear ability to read & coordinate MEP layouts & works with Architectural/ID, Structural/Civil drawings.
• Witness & participate in commissioning and testing of mechanical systems upon project completion, in any or all of the below;

- Chilled water networks (open & closed)

- Water supply sump pump operation

- Fire suppression system

- Fire fighting pumps sprinkler & standpipes

- Staircase pressurization

- Smoke Management System

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum 10 years experience as a site supervision for a reputable consulting engineering or MEP consultants firm within UAE.
• Minimum 7 years (overall inclusive of UAE) or minimum 5 years GCC (inclusive of UAE) experience within MEP contracting and/or MEP consulting engineering services.
• Computer literate
• Articulate and ability to communicate ideas with team and management. Fluency in English. Computer literate.
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a accredited University.
• Knowledgeable and well versed on:

- NFPA,

- ASHRAE

- Authority Regulations

- UAE Civil Defense code

- HSE

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED8,000.00 - AED10,000.00 per month
