Job Summary:
We are looking for a proactive and experienced Project Engineer to manage site execution, coordination, and project delivery. The role involves handling day-to-day site operations, client coordination, progress tracking, and ensuring work is completed as per drawings, specifications, and project timelines.
Key Responsibilities:1. Site Execution & Supervision (Core)
- Manage and supervise all site activities related to steel erection / PEB installation
- Ensure work is executed as per approved drawings, method statements, and specifications
- Monitor daily progress and ensure targets are achieved
- Coordinate with foreman and workforce for smooth site execution
2. Project Coordination
- Coordinate with:
- Design & Engineering Team
- Planning Engineer
- Procurement & Logistics
- Fabrication Team
- Ensure timely availability of materials, drawings, and resources at site
- Resolve site issues and technical challenges
3. Client & Consultant Interaction
- Act as the main point of contact at site for client/consultant
- Attend site meetings and progress review meetings
- Ensure compliance with client requirements and project specifications
4. Drawing & Technical Management
- Review IFC/shop drawings and ensure correct implementation at site
- Raise RFIs (Request for Information) for any discrepancies
- Coordinate for drawing approvals and revisions
5. Inspection & Documentation
- Prepare and submit:
- WIR (Work Inspection Requests)
- MIR (Material Inspection Requests)
- Maintain logs for:
- WIR/MIR
- Inspections
- Site activities
- Ensure all inspections are approved before proceeding with next activities
6. Planning & Progress Tracking
- Coordinate with planning team for:
- Weekly targets
- Lookahead schedules
- Update daily and weekly progress reports
- Identify delays and inform management with mitigation plans
7. Quality Control
- Ensure all work meets quality standards and project specifications
- Coordinate with QA/QC team for inspections and approvals
- Address and close NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports)
8. Health & Safety (HSE)
- Ensure compliance with site safety regulations
- Conduct toolbox talks and ensure safe working practices
- Coordinate with HSE team for audits and safety implementation
9. Material & Resource Management
- Monitor material usage and avoid wastage
- Coordinate for material delivery and storage at site
- Ensure manpower and equipment availability as per plan
10. Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare:
- Daily site reports
- Weekly progress reports
- Site issue logs
- Maintain proper documentation for project records
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil / Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 5–10 years of experience in construction/site execution
- Strong experience in:
- Steel Structures / PEB / Fabrication / Erection
- GCC / UAE projects (preferred)
Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of:
- Structural drawings
- Site execution procedures
- Familiar with:
- WIR / MIR process
- QA/QC documentation
- Basic knowledge of:
- Primavera / MS Project (preferred)
- Proficiency in MS Office
Soft Skills:
- Strong leadership and team handling skills
