We are currently looking for a Mechanical Specialist/ Sr. Mechanical Specialist for our Ringgold, LA office.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:
This position is to maintain Boardwalk’s reciprocating engines at the Hall Summit Compressor Station by providing engine repair, trouble shooting, mechanical improvement, along with assisting in other areas when needed. The mechanical specialist will work closely with station personnel and the area admin to improve the reliability and efficiency of the compressor station. Physical requirements of the role include the ability to lift and carry 50 lbs a minimum of 50 ft. in order to transport equipment upstairs into the engine room. Also, must endure a hot / humid / cold and noisy working environment. The successful candidate will be expected to be on call and respond to phone calls when needs arise. Successful candidate will be required to live within 30 miles of the Hall Summit Compressor Station, Ringgold, LA in order to respond to critical situations in a timely manner.

REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE:

• Ability to read and comprehend manufacturer’s equipment manuals
• Strong computer skills, Word, Excel and familiarity with CMMS system for maintenance documentation.
• Ability to work independently without direct supervision,
• Must have valid Driver’s License with clean driving record
• Mechanical experience working on compressor station engines and compressors w/ troubleshooting abilities
• Mechanical knowledge of 2 and 4-stroke, slow and high-speed engines and compressors

PREFERRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE:

• 5+ years of Mechanical experience with natural gas engines and compressors

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

• High school diploma or equivalent

PREFERRED EDUCATION:

• Technical degree in mechanical or electrical science
