Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to oversee and coordinate piping and structural activities at project sites. The candidate will be responsible for supervising manpower, ensuring compliance with project specifications, maintaining safety standards, and achieving project targets within the required schedule and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and monitor all piping and structural fabrication, erection, installation, and maintenance activities.
  • Coordinate daily work activities with engineers, supervisors, clients, and subcontractors.
  • Ensure work is executed according to approved drawings, specifications, procedures, and project requirements.
  • Plan and allocate manpower, equipment, and materials efficiently to achieve daily targets.
  • Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with quality control requirements.
  • Review and interpret engineering drawings, isometrics, P&IDs, and structural drawings.
  • Monitor fabrication and installation of piping systems, pipe supports, steel structures, platforms, handrails, and associated components.
  • Ensure proper alignment, fit-up, welding, and installation activities are performed according to approved standards.
  • Coordinate with QA/QC personnel for inspections, testing, and documentation requirements.
  • Enforce HSE policies and ensure all work is carried out safely and in accordance with company and client regulations.
  • Prepare daily progress reports, manpower reports, and material requirements.
  • Identify and resolve site issues to minimize delays and improve productivity.
  • Participate in toolbox talks, safety meetings, and project coordination meetings.
  • Support project completion, testing, commissioning, and handover activities.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 5-10 years of experience in piping and structural works within Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refinery, Power Plant, or Industrial Projects.
  • Strong knowledge of piping fabrication, erection, hydrotesting, structural steel erection, and maintenance activities.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and project specifications.
  • Familiarity with applicable international standards and codes (ASME, API, ASTM, AWS, etc.).
  • Good leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in supervising multicultural workforces.
  • Knowledge of HSE requirements and permit-to-work systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and report preparation.

Preferred Requirements

  • Previous experience in refinery or oil & gas facilities.
  • Valid driving license (preferred).
  • Experience with shutdown, turnaround, or maintenance projects.
  • Certification in safety training, rigging, or supervisory management is an advantage.
