- Responsible for conducting inspection and quality control activities for storage tanks and related mechanical systems in onshore and offshore oil & gas projects.
- Ensure tank fabrication, installation, and testing comply with Saudi Aramco standards, project specifications, and international codes.
- Support project quality assurance by maintaining inspection records, reporting non-conformities, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Perform inspection of storage tanks, tank components, and associated mechanical equipment during fabrication, erection, and commissioning stages.
- Verify material compliance, welding procedures, and fabrication processes according to project specifications.
- Monitor tank construction activities including plate fabrication, welding, alignment, dimensional inspection, and hydrostatic testing.
- Ensure compliance with Saudi Aramco Engineering Standards (SAES / SAEP) and international standards applicable to tank construction.
- Review technical drawings, inspection test plans (ITPs), and material certificates.
- Identify and report non-conformities or defects, and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
- Coordinate with QA/QC teams, project engineers, and contractors to ensure inspection requirements are fulfilled.
- Maintain accurate inspection reports, documentation, and quality records for project compliance.
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, and quality procedures during inspection activities.
Mandatory Requirements
- ARAMCO Approved Mechanical Tank Inspector.
- CBT (Computer-Based Test) certification preferred; candidates with ARAMCO approval without CBT are also acceptable.
- Additional certifications such as API 653 (Tank Inspection) or CSWIP 3.1 / 3.2 will be an advantage.
- Previous Saudi Aramco project experience is mandatory.
- Experience in onshore oil & gas construction, tank fabrication, or EPC projects.
- Strong knowledge of tank fabrication, erection, welding inspection, and hydrostatic testing.
- Familiarity with international standards such as API 650 / API 653 and Saudi Aramco standards (SAES / SAEP).
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, inspection procedures, and quality documentation.
- Good reporting, coordination, and communication skills with project and QA/QC teams.
