Position title:
Mechanical Technical
Main Responsibilities:

Perform routine and preventive maintenance on engineering utilities, especially water treatment equipment (reverse osmosis (RO) systems, ultrafiltration (UF), softeners, EDI, etc., WFI, and pure steam generators).

Perform corrective and preventative maintenance for assembly equipment in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to minimize downtime and ensure efficient operations

Identify, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and simple electrical problems at water treatment plants.

Perform machine shop work operating various machines such as drilling, grinding, and cutting equipment, pneumatic tools, and electric/manual hand tools.

Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical failures in pumps, motors, valves, and piping systems by replacing or repairing defective parts (seals, bearings, gaskets, etc.) to ensure system efficiency.

Maintain logbooks and records related to maintenance activities to ensure regulatory compliance and aid in data gathering for inspections

Handle incidents related to line/equipment maintenance and gather data for further investigations to improve safety and efficiency.

Ensuring spare parts availability for scheduled and projected jobs inclusive of spare inventory (physical) checking and stock inspections

Maintain accurate logs of inspections, repairs, and equipment performance & generate reports on system malfunctions, corrective actions, and recommendations.

Assemble, install, and commission mechanical components of water treatment systems (e.g., pumps, filters, piping, valves, tanks, and chemical dosing systems)

Ensure compliance with Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) regulations in the production area, working in a safe and environmentally responsible manner.
Qualifications and Experience:
Educational qualifications
Associate/diploma in mechanical engineering technology or similar
Experience
3+ years of industrial experience in engineering utilities & water treatment systems with respect to authority requirements in a Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) environment.
