Must Have Technical/Functional Skills

Operate commercial and proprietary mechanical testing equipment to perform tensile, compression, torsion, and structural/functional evaluations of medical devices.

Execute test protocols accurately while ensuring data integrity, repeatability, and compliance with regulated R&D lab standards.

Partner with R&D and design engineers to clarify test objectives, provide test method input, and support development across product lifecycle stages.

Conduct troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and failure investigations using strong analytical and problem solving skills.

Apply solid understanding of engineering fundamentals (mechanisms, fixturing, tooling, instrumentation) to support complex test setups.

Perform a wide range of testing including leak/pressure testing, axial load testing, environmental conditioning, force to fire testing, and laser extensometry.

Collect, analyze, and clearly document test results using approved lab documentation practices and Microsoft Office tools.

Work effectively under tight timelines in an evolving, high pressure R&D environment while maintaining safety and quality focus.

Assist with training and mentoring junior technicians on proper test execution and safe equipment use.

Support continuous improvement of mechanical testing methods, lab workflows, and equipment utilization; perform other lab duties as assigned.
Salary Range $ 55000-$65000 years
