Mechanical Technician

Job Summary

We are urgently seeking experienced Millwright Technicians for a major industrial project in Ras Laffan. The ideal candidates will have strong experience in rotating equipment maintenance, shaft alignment, and precision measurement techniques.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform pump and motor shaft alignment activities.
• Carry out alignment using the Reverse Dial Indicator Method.
• Interpret dial indicator readings and calculate offset and angular misalignment.
• Execute equipment alignment procedures while considering thermal growth requirements.
• Verify alignment tolerances in accordance with industry standards.
• Identify and correct soft foot conditions.
• Inspect and maintain various coupling types and ensure proper alignment.
• Use precision measuring instruments including dial indicators, vernier calipers, micrometers, and feeler gauges.
• Follow all safety procedures and best practices during rotating equipment maintenance activities.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Millwright Technician in industrial, oil & gas, petrochemical, or related environments.
• Strong hands-on experience in pump and motor alignment.
• Knowledge of rotating equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and maintenance procedures.
• Good understanding of workplace safety standards.
• Must hold a valid Qatar ID (QID).
• Candidates must be on a Freelance Visa and available for immediate mobilization.
