Mechanical Technician

We are currently looking for a highly skilled and proactive Mechanical Technician to join our maintenance department and help keep our operations running smoothly and safely.

Role Overview:
As a Mechanical Technician, you will be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of our company’s fleet of vehicles (light and heavy commercial trucks), material handling equipment (such as forklifts), and other operational machinery. The ideal candidate has a strong mechanical aptitude, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to workplace safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine and preventative maintenance on logistics vehicles, heavy machinery, and warehouse equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues accurately using diagnostic tools and manuals.
• Repair or replace defective parts, engines, transmissions, and braking systems.
• Conduct post-repair testing to ensure equipment is operating safely and at peak performance.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance work, repairs performed, and parts used.
• Monitor inventory of spare parts and notify the supervisor when orders need to be placed.
• Strictly adhere to all company health, safety, and environmental (HSE) guidelines.
• Respond promptly to emergency breakdown calls within company premises or on the road.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Diploma, Trade Certificate, or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of proven experience as a Mechanical Technician, preferably in the logistics, transportation, or construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure to minimize equipment downtime.
• Good physical condition and stamina, with the ability to lift heavy objects and work in various environmental conditions.
• Good communication skills in English (Arabic is a plus).
• A valid driving license is highly preferred.

Pay: QAR4,200.00 - QAR4,300.00 per month
