*Role Description*

This is a full-time, on-site position based in Giza, Egypt, for a Mechanical Tender Engineer.

The role involves preparing and reviewing mechanical engineering designs, analyzing project requirements, and participating in bid preparation processes. The Mechanical Tender Engineer will be responsible for planning, estimating, and costing projects while ensuring compliance with technical specifications and safety standards.

In collaboration with project teams, the engineer will manage tender documentation, assess technical specifications, and contribute to optimizing design solutions.

*Qualifications*

• Minimum 5 years of experience in MEP, water treatment, and sewage treatment mechanical works

• Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering design principles and practices

• Expertise in key technical areas, including planning and mechanical engineering

• Proven ability to collaborate effectively with mechanical engineers and multidisciplinary teams

• Ability to study and evaluate subcontractors’ offers

• Experience in estimating project costs, including direct costs, labor costs, and related expenses

• Ability to collect raw material prices by issuing RFQs to suppliers in order to obtain quotations

• Experience in reviewing and managing the supplier base to ensure alignment with sourcing strategies

• Ability to review and assess technical specifications, BOQs, and drawings to determine suitable vendors and suppliers

• Experience in preparing technical and commercial proposals

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field

• Strong understanding of tendering policies and procedures

• Proficiency in mechanical engineering software tools; AutoCAD proficiency is highly preferred
