Binghamton Truck Body specializes in the installation, repair, and maintenance of light, medium, and heavy-duty truck bodies and equipment. Our expertise covers a wide range of truck equipment, including liftgates, service bodies, dump bodies, van bodies, snow plows, salt spreaders, roll-offs, hook systems, garbage packers, van shelving systems, and hydraulic systems. We pride ourselves on delivering installations that meet or exceed manufacturer standards.

Position Overview:
We are currently seeking experienced Mechanic/Fabricator/Welder to join our team. The ideal Mechanic/Fabricator/Welder should be reliable, fast-paced, and skilled in welding, fabricating, and installing various types of truck equipment. Knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems is a plus, and candidates must be able to work independently, following manufacturer guidelines and maintaining high standards of workmanship, timeliness, and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, weld, and fabricate components for truck bodies and equipment.
• Perform electrical work, repairs, and maintenance on light, medium, and heavy-duty truck bodies and equipment.
• Adhere to manufacturer guidelines and instructions to ensure installations meet or exceed standards.
• Maintain a high level of workmanship and safety in all tasks.
• Work independently and creatively solve problems as they arise in the repair shop.

Qualifications:

• Experience in mechanical repairs, welding and fabrication is a plus
• Basic knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems is a plus.
• Ability to use mechanic hand tools for truck and equipment repairs.
• Must be conscientious, reliable, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
