Med Tech

• Must possess a valid and current Med Tech Certification.
• Must have care and compassion towards the residents
• Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
• Ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies and the general public.
• Be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to long-term care.
• Possess leadership and supervisory ability and the willingness to work harmoniously with professional and non-professional personnel.
• Ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies and procedures, etc., that are necessary for providing quality care.
• Must have patience, tact, a cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, as well as the willingness to handle difficult resident's.
• Able to read, write and speak English. Knowledge of other languages may be helpful.

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Works in well-lighted and ventilated office areas, as well as throughout the nursing service area.
• Sits, stands, bends, lifts, and move intermittently during working hours.
• Be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position. Is subject to hostile and emotionally upset residents, family members, personnel and visitors.
• Function independently, have flexibility, personal integrity and the ability to work effectively with residents, personnel and support agencies.
• Able to relate to and work with the ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and at times hostile people within the facility. Maintain liaison with the resident their families, support departments, etc., to adequately plan for the residents needs.
• Be in good general health and be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.

• Willing to work as necessary to ensure continuing quality of care to the residents.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
