Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Med Tech to join our healthcare team, providing vital support in delivering exceptional patient care across various settings. As a Med Tech, you will play a crucial role in assisting licensed nursing staff by performing clinical tasks, monitoring patient conditions, and ensuring the highest standards of safety and comfort. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with individuals of diverse needs, including seniors, those with developmental disabilities, and patients requiring specialized memory or hospice care. Responsibilities

  • Assist with daily patient care activities, including vital signs, medication administration, and hygiene support
  • Monitor patients’ conditions closely, documenting changes accurately in electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner
  • Support nursing staff with tasks like catheter care, tube feeding, and mobility assistance while adhering to HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards
  • Help manage medical records and ensure proper handling of sensitive information in compliance with privacy laws
  • Provide compassionate care for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer’s, or other memory-related conditions within memory or hospice care settings
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver personalized care plans tailored to each patient’s needs
  • Maintain a safe environment by following infection control protocols and assisting with emergency procedures when necessary

Skills

  • Proven experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care environments
  • Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and medication administration procedures
  • Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner for accurate medical documentation
  • Experience providing specialized care for patients with Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, or other cognitive impairments
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals who have developmental disabilities or require hospice and memory care services
  • Excellent caregiving skills combined with a compassionate attitude toward diverse patient populations
  • Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and best practices for safeguarding patient information
