Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Technician (Med Tech) to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide essential support in delivering high-quality patient care across various settings, including assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, and home care environments. Duties

• Assist with daily patient care activities such as vital signs monitoring, medication administration, and basic nursing procedures
• Support residents and patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including mobility, hygiene, and feeding assistance
• Document medical information accurately using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner
• Administer treatments such as tube feeding, catheter care, and other specialized procedures following physician orders and safety protocols
• Monitor patient physiology and respond promptly to changes in condition or emergencies
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient confidentiality and medical records
• Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care plans

Requirements

• Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care environments is highly preferred
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and medication administration protocols
• Experience with medical documentation systems such as EMR/EHR platforms (e.g., Epic or Cerner)
• Familiarity with caring for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or other memory-related conditions
• Ability to perform vital signs assessment and basic nursing tasks accurately and efficiently
• Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient privacy standards
• Excellent communication skills to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams and with patients of diverse backgrounds
• Certification as a Med Tech or Nursing Assistant is required; additional certifications in hospice or dementia care are a plus
