Responsibilities
- Administer medications accurately following prescribed protocols while adhering to HIPAA regulations and maintaining detailed medical records
- Monitor vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature to assess patient health status
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including catheter care, tube feeding, and other personal care tasks in compliance with safety standards
- Document all patient interactions, treatments, and observations using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) or EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems like Bluestep
- Provide compassionate care
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement personalized care plans that meet the unique needs of each resident or patient
- Cooking meals
- Cleaning and sanitizing
Requirements
- Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care environments is prefered but not required
- Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and basic nursing practices such as medication administration and vitals
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Bluestep for accurate documentation of patient records
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges is a plus
- Ability to perform vital sign measurements accurately and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and privacy of medical information
- Certification as a Med Tech or similar credential is required
