Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Technician (Med Tech) to join our clinical laboratory team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in laboratory procedures, specimen collection, and diagnostic testing, with a focus on delivering accurate and timely results. As a Med Tech, you will play a vital role in supporting clinical trials, research initiatives, and patient care by performing a variety of laboratory tests and procedures. Responsibilities

  • Perform a wide range of laboratory tests including ELISA, PCR, flow cytometry, immunoassays, and other clinical assays with high accuracy and consistency.
  • Collect, process, and analyze specimens such as blood samples through venipuncture and blood banking techniques while maintaining strict aseptic protocols.
  • Manage laboratory data efficiently using Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) to ensure accurate record-keeping and reporting.
  • Conduct RNA extraction, DNA isolation, and other molecular biology techniques essential for research and clinical diagnostics.
  • Maintain proper documentation of laboratory procedures, results, and quality control measures in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Assist in the management of laboratory inventory, including reagents, supplies, and equipment maintenance to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Support clinical trials by adhering to protocols for specimen collection/processing and performing relevant laboratory procedures.
  • Apply physiology knowledge and anatomy expertise to interpret test results accurately within the context of patient health or research parameters.
  • Uphold safety standards through proper aseptic technique, blood sampling procedures, venipuncture skills, and adherence to hospital or clinical environment protocols.

Skills

  • Extensive experience with laboratory techniques such as ELISA, PCR, flow cytometry, immunoassays, and blood banking methods.
  • Strong data management skills with proficiency in Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) and data analysis tools.
  • Knowledge of clinical laboratory practices including specimen collection/processing, phlebotomy, blood sampling, and vital signs measurement.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to laboratory diagnostics and patient care settings.
  • Proven ability to perform complex laboratory procedures accurately within a research or hospital environment.
  • Excellent understanding of physiology and anatomy as they relate to diagnostic testing processes.
