Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Medical Technician (Med Tech) for morning, afternoon, and overnight shifts to join our compassionate healthcare team. Duties
- Administer medications accurately following physician orders and HIPAA regulations to ensure patient safety and compliance.
- Monitor vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature to assess patient health status regularly.
- Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, mobility support, and feeding for residents with varying levels of independence.
- Support patients with specialized care needs such as Alzheimer's disease, dementia, memory care, hospice care, or individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Maintain detailed medical documentation using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) or EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems to ensure accurate record-keeping.
- Conduct medical procedures including catheter care, tube feeding, and medication administration while adhering to strict safety protocols.
- Collaborate with nursing staff and healthcare providers to develop and implement individualized care plans based on physiology knowledge and medical terminology expertise.
Requirements
- Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals or home care environments is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and emergency procedures such as vital signs monitoring and medication administration.
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Point C;ick Care or Cerner for accurate documentation of patient records.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities or cognitive impairments such as Alzheimer’s or dementia.
- Certification as a Med Tech or similar credential is required; additional certifications in hospice or memory care are a plus.
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality at all times.

Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
