We are a small home facility located in southeast Nampa. We have a max of 12 residents. We offer bonus pay and dependability based off how many residents we are currently caring for.
Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Med Tech / Caregiver to join our dedicated healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to individuals across various care settings, including assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, and home care environments. Your expertise will help ensure residents and patients receive respectful, safe, and personalized care that promotes their well-being and independence. Responsibilities
- Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, mobility support, and feeding for residents or patients.
- Monitor and record vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) or EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems.
- Administer medications and treatments following physician orders while adhering to HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards.
- Support specialized care needs such as Alzheimer’s care, dementia care, memory care, hospice care, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Assist with medical procedures including catheter care, tube feeding, and medication administration under supervision or according to training protocols.
- Maintain accurate medical records by documenting patient information clearly and thoroughly in medical records systems like Epic or Cerner.
- Collaborate with nursing staff and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care in acute or long-term settings.
- Follow safety protocols related to physiology knowledge, anatomy understanding, and infection control practices to promote a safe environment for residents and staff.
Requirements
- Prior experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or home & community care environments is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic nursing procedures such as catheter care and vital signs measurement.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is a plus.
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Cerner for accurate documentation.
- Ability to perform caregiving duties with compassion, patience, and professionalism in fast-paced settings.
- Certification in CPR/First Aid is desirable; valid state-specific caregiving or Med Tech certification is required where applicable.
- Strong understanding of HIPAA compliance to protect patient privacy and confidentiality.
