Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Med Tech CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will assist with patient care, medical documentation, and equipment management within various healthcare settings. Your energy and compassion will help ensure our patients receive the highest level of care while maintaining compliance with healthcare standards.
Duties
- Assist healthcare professionals with patient care activities, including vital signs, medication administration, and basic life support procedures
- Prepare and maintain medical equipment, including phlebotomy tools, Hoyer lifts, and other assistive devices
- Document patient information accurately using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems while adhering to HIPAA regulations
- Support patients with activities of daily living in settings such as assisted living, nursing homes, or home care environments
- Monitor and report changes in patient condition, including physiology and anatomy-related observations
- Follow aseptic techniques during procedures to prevent infection and ensure safety in acute care, ICU, or trauma center environments
- Assist with specialized care such as dementia, Alzheimer's, memory care, or behavioral health needs
Experience
- Previous experience working in medical-surgical units, emergency medicine, ICU, or Level I Trauma Centers is highly desirable
- Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Cerner or eClinicalWorks
- Experience with diverse patient populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, individuals with disabilities or developmental disabilities
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and infection control practices
- Hands-on experience with catheter care, wound management, and aseptic techniques in acute or post-acute settings
- Familiarity with hospice care, home & community care environments, or outpatient clinics is a plus
- Certification in basic life support (BLS) is required; additional certifications such as phlebotomy or DME are advantageous
