Med Tech / Fulfillment Partner (Mental Health Worker) [On-Call] NOC shift (10pm - 6:30am)

Alamo Health Management of Santa Clarita, provides transitional housing and resident centered care services for clients suffering from mental health, addiction, and/or dual diagnosis. The ideal candidate wants to help break the cycle of clients moving from crisis centers to housing instability and back to crisis centers.

The On-Call Med Tech / Fulfillment Partner will work on-call as needed provide coverage at short notice during unplanned absences, planned absences for the NOC shift. When providing coverage for longer absences like vacations or leaves of absence the On-call Med Tech / Fulfillment Partner may work 4 days on, 2 days off schedule with days off rotating during the coverage period.

Availability: The ideal candidate for this position is available to work on-call and at short notice for for the NOC Shift (10pm - 6:30am), and can be available to work on a 4/2 rolling schedule when needed.

  • A 4/2 rolling schedule means you work four consecutive days followed by two consecutive days off, with your days off rotating each week (including some weekends).

The on-call Med Tech / Fulfillment Partner position is ideal for individuals seeking flexibility or supplemental income. On-call staff are contacted when coverage is needed for unexpected absences or emergencies. While hours are not guaranteed, this role offers an opportunity to gain experience in a behavioral health environment and support residents when extra help is most needed. The Med Tech / Fulfillment Partner (Mental Health Worker) is responsible for carrying out the activities of daily living services to residents in accordance with their service plan in a given community. These duties include providing medication management services, personal care for all residents, communicating with medical professionals and families about the needs of residents.

As a Fulfillment Partner (Mental Health Worker), you will be responsible for providing support for mental health clients to enhance their independence and quality of life along with and under the supervision of the the Executive Director.

Med Tech Responsibilities:

  • Administer treatments in accordance with physician instructions. Identify any side effects or problems, and report refusals to the physician.
  • Prepare and pass medication for residents as ordered by a physician, reporting any medication errors, side effects, or problems to supervisor or physician. Document administration or refusal of medication.
  • Responsible for accurately completing all forms and communication notes related to and required by company policy and State regulations regarding medication administration and/or supervision.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of safety procedures and precautions regarding the resident. Reports all incidents, accidents, unsafe or hazardous conditions to appropriate personnel. Responds to emergency situations, following proper emergency protocol. Takes vital signs and administers first aid in the event of illness.
  • Assure availability of all medications prescribed for a resident and that medication on hand is that which is prescribed, is not expired, and is properly labeled in compliance with company policy and State regulations.
  • Perform checks of vital signs and weight as assigned and maintains records of monthly vital signs and weight for each resident in compliance with company policy and State requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or needed.

Essential Skills:

  • Verbally able to articulate in person and over the phone. Able to communicate in written form and complete documentation as required by state and company policies. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work well under pressure, resolve conflicts, prioritize tasks, and follow through with ideas.
  • Follows company regulations.
  • Must be able to read physician orders and match to Medication Administration Records for residents.
  • Must possess an understanding of medical terminology adequate to pass medications and communicate with medical professionals.

Fulfillment Partner Responsibilities

  • Manage, monitor and maintain floor activities
  • Ensures that clients have other tasks of daily living including, but not limited to, grooming.
  • Establish and maintains a therapeutic relationship with clients and acts as a role model in maintaining a positive attitude and coping with symptoms of mental illness.
  • Works with clients to build and maintain essential communication and social skills.
  • Assists with implementing life skills workshops, extracurricular activities, and other community and social service programs.
  • Observes clients for changes in behavior, monitors client activities, motivates clients to participate in activities and also guides and advises clients in their personal adjustment utilizing de-escalation techniques.
  • Maintains a safe environment by keeping the community safe, clean and comfortable; recognize environmental safety hazards, understand the methods to prevent on-the-job accidents and injuries.
  • Reports clients physical and emotional condition changes.
  • Promotes open communications between healthcare professionals, families, clients, and staff.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or needed.

Essential Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Able to communicate verbally in person and over the phone in fluent English. Able to read, analyze, interpret and complete documentation in fluent English.
  • Positive interpersonal skills. Works well with others, treats others with respect, works with integrity and ethically, and communicates in a pleasant, professional, and personable manner with all individuals.
  • Able to perform well under pressure, resolve conflicts, prioritize tasks, follow through with ideas, and show initiative in overcoming obstacles.
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently and make sound and timely decisions.
  • Excellent organizational skills and be detail oriented.
  • Demonstrate regular and consistent attendance and punctuality.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must have at least one year of experience in a caregiving role or similar function.

Pay: $23.00 - $26.00 per hour

  • Med pass in an Adult Residential Facility: 2 years (Required)
